Current Giro Helmet super comfy and had probably too many years. Took a reasonable heavy fall part of which involved landing with head onto tree stump. Crunching noises from helmet, it looks perfectly ok but probably best to replace with age and an impact. Any thoughts on Giro replacement around £100 say? Thinking about Chronicle?

If you have a Giro head check out the POC Axion spin that is currently on sale at Wiggle for £84

I have a Montaro that fits very well and will have the following delivered today (so will be testing):
Bell sixer
Sweet Protection Bushwacker 2
Smiths Rover
POC Axion
The POC has arrived and it is very comfy.
Montaro is lighter, and supposedly has more features.
Last years colours are available for same price as chronicle.
Edit: Plus, it has a breakaway mount for a light / camera if that's your thing...
I have the Chronicle MIPS, it's comfy but warm. Montaro is more expensive but better vented.
The chronicle seems to do really well in the independent crash tests i've read about online, beating out some much more expensive helmets
Thanks Guys Montaro ordered from Merlin, I def have a Giro head and have played safe. Much appreciated. 🙂
